Linda Lewis

My studio is now located in Avila Beach at Sayva Creative Studio & Gallery. We have been there for almost 3 years. We feature not only my work, but also the work many local artists including Ana Bass, Pat Harkness and more. We also teach jewelry fabrication, enameling and lost wax casting classes. We feature different wall artists by rotating every couple of months. I feel like it is a privilege to be able to work and sell my art in a place where people usually come to vacation and retire.

The ocean and the sunsets are my inspiration. The discipline of owning a gallery has made me work harder than I ever have in my 40 years of making & selling my work. I did the art show circuit for many years, been in co-ops, part owner of a gallery in San Luis. I have taught jewelry classes in the Creamery, Cuesta Collage and out of my studio at home. I feel like this is my last venture before I retire. I am not sure when that will be but I will know it when the day comes. It has been a very rewarding career in many ways other than monitarily. I feel like it my destiny to create. More recently, I have been venturing into sculpture and quilting. They may be something I can do when my eyesight and hands aren't as steady as they used to be. My hope is that I can keep things going for as long as I am able.
