April 2018 brings the 40th Annual Children's Day in the Plaza led by the San Luis Obispo County Child Care Planning Council. In cooperation with this great occasion, ARTS Obispo facilitates Passport to the Arts.  These combined events provide artful activity for children and families to celebrate April as National Month of the Child and Child Abuse Prevention Month. In addition to the interactive booths focused on arts, music & movement, nature, and science, a host of public agencies and nonprofits provide resources for parents, and spectacular youth performances.

Children’s Day in the Plaza with Passport to the Arts brings children and families to the Mission Plaza in the city of San Luis Obispo for a day of hands-on visual, literary and performing arts activities, through engaging booths. Children and families have the opportunity to discover creativity, individuality, diversity and the arts while parents and guardians explore community resources.
